Texture analyzer for food - TVT 6700

Food texture is closely linked with customer sensation of the food properties and hence with food product's customer value. The TVT 6700 texture analyzer offers quick and objective analysis of key features, including firmness, crispness, cutting force and elasticity.

Evaluation of texture is usually based on sensory judgement and experience. The advantages of using an instrument instead of sensory evaluation is that you get an objective, fast and cost efficient way to measure the texture in well-defined and controlled test conditions.

 

TVT 6700XP - Feature and benefits

This easy-to-use texture analyzer can be utilised for a variety of different products and materials and ensures an efficient, simple and productive way of evaluation.

The anazlyzer can be supplied with load cells from 3 to 100 kg all with a 1 g resolution. The strength of the instrument makes it equally suitable to be placed in a production line as well as in a laboratory. The included software has been developed with an aim of being extensive but simple.

The probe is what the TVT uses to analyze the sample. As the probe touches the sample the instrument will measure the force required to bend, compress, break, extend or displace the sample. Operation and handling

The TVT texture analyzer is extremely easy to use, and requires very little training.

 

Attach suitable accessory to the instrument (depends on application)
 

Place the sample on the instrument.
 

Set the parameters for your product and start the measurement. Force is applied to the product either by pulling or compressing it and the force is plotted as a function of time or distance.
 

Test results are shown on screen with statistical information calculated automatically. All test results and measurement data can easily be exported to a spreadsheet program for further analysis.
